************************

Bennies Bandits™ originated from a small group of elite riders who rode the infamous Suzuki “Bandit”. Made of twisted steel and sex appeal a couple of these young outlaws decided to embark on a world tour of epic proportions armed with nothing but the packs on their backs, an eager curiosity to see the world and a trusty digital camera. This blog captures some of the many moments from their journey…

Morocco - Thursday 10th May

We woke early to get to the airport (we had asked the Riad manager to book a taxi for us the night before and he agreed, we turned up in the morning and he drove us in his own car – nothing like making a bit of money on the side!). Another breakfast, another load of bread, and we boarded another fantastic Easy Jet flight.

We were anticipating massive delays at Gatwick airport with the immigration issues they have been having, and also we had heard about the public sector strikes but we walked into the airport and it was literally deserted so not sure what was going on there. We breezed through and got home and collapsed.

We really enjoyed our trip; I don't think we would go back to Marrakech in a hurry. It was a great experience but a small dose was enough. If we went back to Morocco we would hit up the coastal towns and maybe Casablanca which is meant to have a lot more European influence.

Highlight: The ease of travelling at normal times, if only it wasn't so expensive.

Lowlight: Coming back to cold rain, come on London where is summer?
Interesting Fact: The duty free shops on Marrakech airport only accept Euros and you can't take more than £75 quid of Moroccan dirhams out of the country.
